Safety Tip #9 – What is Wrong With This Picture?
You buy expensive cars and houses and you insure them. You buy an expensive education but don’t insure your head by wearing a helmet. You buy a lottery ticket even though you know you’re chance of winning is less than being struck by lightning and don’t wear a helmet when you know you’re chances of contacting the pavement or a vehicle is higher than winning the lottery. You walk and bike at night in dark clothing and without reflectors or lights so drivers can not see you. What’s wrong with this picture? Wear light color clothing with reflectors or better, safety vests and carry a headlamp or flashlight so drivers can see you. Always wear a helmet when bicycling.
